When you both first left, I was mired in anger, self-pity, depression, in a hole that I thought I could never get out of. The year passed, with me trying over and over, desperate to feel that bliss that you both brought me before. I wanted that high that I felt from you both, seeking that love you both gave me. the year passed, and slowly, I was able to go on my own path. "I dont need them", i kept telling myself through the hours, the days, the weeks, the months. "i dont need them." "I'm doing just fine." "yeah, see? I'm okay!" then you both returned, and there it was again. That same high that I felt so long ago, seeming foreign to me now.
